A Self-Correcting Projector

چکیده
We describe a calibration and rendering technique for a projector that can render rectangular images under keystoned position. The projector utilizes a rigidly attached camera to form a stereo pair. We describe a very easy to use technique for calibration of the projector-camera pair using only black planar surfaces. We present an efficient rendering method to pre-warp images so that they appear correctly on the screen, and show experimental results.

Correcting Projector Distortions on Planar Screens via Homography Method and Setup Proposal for Correcting Distorted Projected Images on Planar Screens Under Difficult Conditions
In the following paper we will discuss and present an approach and implementation for an automated setup for correcting a projection of an image from a projector device. A single, user-friendly method will be established so that any user can operate such a setup even at home, provided a projector device, from harsh (sometimes unimaginable) angles, and get proper satisfactory results, i.e. a cor...
متن کاملRobot positioning using structured light patterns suitable for self calibration and 3D tracking
We study the control of a robot arm with an eye-in-hand camera, using structured light with a projector in a fixed but unknown position. Based on the theory of perfect maps, we propose a deterministic method to generate patterns independent of the relative 6D orientation between the camera and the projector, with any alphabet size and minimal Hamming distance between the codes. This independenc...
متن کاملDynamic Shadow Elimination for Multi-Projector Displays
A major problem with interactive displays based on frontprojection is that users cast undesirable shadows on the display surface. This situation is only partially-addressed by mounting a single projector at an extreme angle and prewarping the projected image to undo keystoning distortions. This paper demonstrates that shadows can be muted by redundantly-illuminating the display surface using mu...
متن کاملLogical-operator tradeoff for local quantum codes
We study the structure of logical operators in localD-dimensional quantum codes, considering both subsystem codes with geometrically local gauge generators and codes defined by geometrically local commuting projectors. We show that if the code distance is d , then any logical operator can be supported on a set of specified geometry containing d̃ qubits, where d̃d1/(D−1) = O(n) and n is the code l...
متن کامل9 . 3 - 5 Correcting Luminance for Obliquely - Projected Displays
Oblique projection geometry is a major factor in display luminance non-uniformity. Feedback from an arbitrarily-positioned camera is used to find homography transformations between projector and screen. From this we determine the ratio of pixel areas to flatten the illumination field.
